ACE Travel Japan · Nagoya Station to Sakae
A private guide meets you under the Gold Clock at Nagoya Station and takes you by subway and on foot from the castle to Kinshachi Yokocho, then down to Sakae and the old TV tower. It is the best fit if you want the castle and a first look at the city in one morning or afternoon.

ACE Travel Japan's listing is new and has no reviews yet, but it is clear about the route. You meet your guide at the Gold Clock in the Chuo Concourse of Nagoya Station, on the Sakura-dori side, and travel by public transport. First the castle: its history, the golden shachihoko on the closed keep, and possibly the Honmaru Palace (the listing says "may", so ask). Then Kinshachi Yokocho, the Edo-style food street at the gates.
The second half is the city. Sakae is Nagoya's shopping and nightlife district, and Hisaya-odori Park runs through it as a long green strip. At its centre stands Chubu Electric Power MIRAI TOWER, finished in 1954 as Japan's first TV tower and renamed in 2021, with an indoor Sky Deck at 90 metres and an open-air balcony above it. In 2022 it became the first tower in Japan named an Important Cultural Property.
What it costs on top: castle admission (1,000 yen for adults since October 2026), subway fares and food are not included. The listing doesn't say the tower's observation deck is included either, so plan to pay for it if you want to go up. It is a private tour for two or more, with a solo option.
